Antonio Banderas is one of the most famous spanish actor. He was born in Málaga in the year 1960. He is an actor, a singer and a film producer and director.
In 1979, at the age of 19, he moved to Madrid looking for an acting career. He joined the National Theatre of Spain and become the youngest member of the company. At that time Pedro Almodóvar met him and fell in love with his work. Since then they started working together. The film that gave them international recognition was Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios (1998).
In 1992 Banderas made his Hollywood debut with Los reyes del mambo tocan canciones de amor (1992). He didn't speak English in that time so he had to learn it to work as an actor in the USA.
Since then he work in lots of films with very famous actors as Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Tom Hanks...
In 1999 he made his directorial debut in Locos en Alabama (1999) where his wife, Melanie Griffith, was the main actress.
